About the Department

The Department of Bengali started its journey since the inception of the College in the year 2008. The Bengali Department is one of its most prosperous Departments. The department has been a window for the young learners to the highly rich and varied of Bengali literature. The department has the provision of four years Honors (Major), MDC and General Course. The faculty consists of two full time Assistant Professors and two highly qualified State Aided College Teachers.

The department conducts class tests from time to time, so that the students can get well prepared for final exam. After passing out from the Department of Bengali of this college many students have achieved their goal and have been providing their valuable services to the society in various fields including Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The Bengali Department has successfully groomed students and helped them to get settled in life.

Mission:

The mission of the UG Department of Bengali aims at equipping students with in-depth knowledge and intellectual tools to enrich language competence for the practical life and to have the experience and taste of Bengali literature for better understanding of moral and intellectual aspects of human life.

Vision:

The vision of the department endeavours to generate new knowledge and produce students who are trained in literary studies specifically in Bengali language along with interdisciplinary connections with three other language and literature disciplines of this Institution. The Department of Bengali strives to pursue academic excellence in Teaching– Learning process to provide updated knowledge of comprehensive learning in the world of literature with Research facilities as per NEP-2020 and UGC guideline.

The availability of BA Bengali (Hons.) job opportunities in India is determined by specialisation and demand. In India, there are numerous BA Bengali (Hons) job opportunities, such as, Junior Research Fellowship, Professor, Journalist, Civil Administrator etc. This Course is designed to provide students with all of the necessary information to help them build a rewarding career in life.
