About the Department

The English Department strives to be an exemplar of academic brilliance in the rural regions it serves. The department, comprising two Assistant Professors and two State Aided College Teachers (SACT) is devoted to offering its students a comprehensive educational experience that fosters their critical thinking, literary comprehension, and language abilities. Developing in its students a love of English language and literature is one of the department's main goals. Faculty members aim to make learning pleasurable and meaningful by using interactive and engaging teaching approaches. Through the examination of a wide variety of literary texts, encompassing both classic and modern works, students are motivated to cultivate a more profound comprehension of human experiences, civilizations, and perspectives. As a vital component of the college's mission to serve the educational needs of rural students, the department plays a pivotal role in shaping the future leaders and thinkers of tomorrow.
